HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 12162014 - C.75RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract #27-949 with Advanced Pharmacy Concepts, Inc., a corporation, in an amount not to exceed $55,000, to provide audit services on Contra Costa Health Plan (CCHP) pharmacy benefit pricing of prescription drugs, for the period from October 1, 2014 through September 30, 2015. FISCAL IMPACT: This Contract is funded 100% by CCHP Enterprise Funds III. BACKGROUND: Advanced Pharmacy Concepts, Inc. is a company that performs analysis of pharmacy claims, evaluations of pricing accuracy, benefit design and claim edits adjudication for compliance. Under Contract #27-949, the Contractor will provide technical assistance the Department to conduct a comprehensive pharmacy benefit pricing audit of CCHP's prescription drug program through September 30, 2015. BACKGROUND: (CONT'D) includes changes to County Standard General Conditions, Paragraphs 19, “Insurance” and including agreeing to mutual indemnification to hold harmless both parties for any claims arising out of the performance of this contract. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this contract is not approved, certain specialized professional health care services for its members under the terms of their Individual and Group Health Plan membership contracts with the County will not be provided.
