HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 12162014 - C.67RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Purchasing Agent, or designee, to execute on behalf of the Sheriff-Coroner, a purchase order with Sam Clar in an amount not to exceed $145,500 for the purchase of furniture and associated costs for Records' move to the Summit Center. FISCAL IMPACT: 100% General Fund to be reimbursed through annual lease savings. BACKGROUND: The Office of the Sheriff’s Records & Central ID Unit will be relocating to 2530 Arnold Drive, Ste. 170 & 190 through the RAMP Project (Real Estate Management Program). This program is a means for the Records & ID Unit to finance the relocation into a County owned building and include tenant interior improvements, moving expenses, staff costs, furniture and fixtures. The program is a tracker which allows the County to better manage their leased and owned properties. The County will avoid approximately $175,817 in costs to occupy 500 Court Street space in FY/13/14, and approximately $2,015,545 costs over 10 years. This savings will offset the cost to renovate and move to the Summit Center space in less than 4 years.
