APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Public Works Director, or designee, to execute a contract with Matrix HG, Inc., to
provide heating, air conditioning and ventilation services, in an amount not to exceed $1,100,000, for the period of
December 1, 2014 through November 30, 2017, Countywide. (100% General Fund)
FISCAL IMPACT:
This cost is to be funded through Facilities Services 14/15, 15/16 and 16/17 maintenance budget. (100% General
Fund)
BACKGROUND:
Public Works Facilities Services is responsible for maintaining the heating, air conditioning and ventilation systems
at all County facilities. The County does not currently have enough staff to complete the amount of maintenance
required. As bid on BidSync No. 1409-104, Matrix HG, Inc., was the second lowest responsible and responsive
vendor and will become the secondary vendor for scheduled heating, air conditioning and ventilation maintenance
and emergency repair. This request is for a three-year contract.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If this contract is not approved, heating, air conditioning and ventilation services with Matrix HG, Inc., will be
discontinued.
