APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Conservation and Development Interim Director, or designee, to execute a contract
amendment with the City of Pinole, to extend the term from December 31, 2014 through December 31, 2017 and
increase the hourly rates specified in the contract, with no change to the total payment limit for the County's provision
of building inspection services to the City.
FISCAL IMPACT:
No General Fund impact. All costs will be reimbursed by the City of Pinole.
BACKGROUND:
The City of Pinole (the City) has requested the County’s continued assistance in providing building inspection
services. The current contract has been in effect since November 1, 2012. With the Board's approval, the Department
of Conservation and Development (DCD) will continue providing building inspection and plan checking services to
the City, as requested. These tasks will be performed on an as-needed basis. DCD staffing costs will be reimbursed
by the City.
DCD will provide building inspection services to the City of Pinole consistent with the City’s procedures and
applicable codes. DCD will work closely with the City staff to implement these services.
