Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County,
Amendment Agreement #24–760–24 with the State Department of Rehabilitation, effective January 1, 2015, make
technical changes to the budget with no change in the payment to the County in the amount of $4,204,719, and no
change in the term through June 30, 2015.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Approval of this Amendment results in no change in the payment to County in the amount of $4,204,719 and will
continue funding by the State Department of Rehabilitation through June 30, 2015. No County match required.
BACKGROUND:
On March 27, 2012, the Board of Supervisors approved Standard Agreement #24-760-23 with the State Department
of Rehabilitation, to pay the County to provide vocational rehabilitation services for individuals with psychiatric
disorders for the period from July 1, 2012 through June 30, 2015, including agreeing to indemnify and hold the State
harmless for claims arising out of the County’s performance under the Agreement.

BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)
Approval of this Amendment Agreement #24-760-24 will make technical adjustments to the budget and allow the
County to move personnel cost to the service budget while increasing the billable dollars to the state. The state will
continue to pay the County and enable the County’s clients to continue participating in comprehensive rehabilitation
plans that provide job skills development, career counseling, coaching in job application skills, job development and
placement, and follow up services through June 30, 2015.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If this amendment is not approved, County will not be able to make the technical adjustments to the budget and
continue receiving funding to support skills development, career counseling, coaching in job application skills, job
development and placement, and follow-up services for residents with psychiatric disorders.
