HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 12162014 - C.42RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Public Works Director, or designee, to execute a lease amendment with North Richmond Commercial Development Inc., for a five year extension, beginning January 1, 2015 and ending December 31, 2019, with an annual rent payment of $24,900.00, for approximately 5,069 square feet of office space located at 1535 Fred Jackson Way, Richmond, under the terms and conditions set forth in the lease amendment. (WLP849). FISCAL IMPACT: 80% Federal and State funding, and 20% General Fund. BACKGROUND: Contra Costa County (County) has been leasing the premises at 1535 Fred Jackson Way in Richmond since 2000. The County provides employment and career counseling services at that location for the local community. This lease will provide for the continuation of those services. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this first amendment to lease is not approved, the County will not provide employment and career counseling services from this location, and the County will incur additional expenses in finding a new location.
