APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Public Works Director, or designee, to execute Contract Amendment No. 1 to the
Consulting Services Agreement (CSA) with Hanna Engineering, Inc. (dba The Hanna Group), effective November 1,
2014, to increase the payment limit by $23,000 to a new payment limit of $121,443, for construction management
services for the Camino Tassajara Shoulder Widening Project. Project No. 0662-6R4131/Federal Project No.
HSIPL-5928(105)
FISCAL IMPACT:
This project, including the CSA, is funded by 39% Federal Highway Safety Improvement Program Funds, 14% State
Proposition 1B Funds, and 47% Local Road Funds.
BACKGROUND:
This project provides pavement widening, filled slopes, culvert modifications, rock slope protection, fencing, guard
railing, signing and striping. Construction management services are required for the construction phase of the Camino
Tassajara Shoulder Widening Project.

BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)
Hanna Engineering, Inc. (dba The Hanna Group) was selected to provide these services after completing a request for
qualifications, solicitation, technical proposal, and interview process.
Proposed Amendment No. 1 will amend payment limits in order to provide additional construction management
services that are needed for final completion of the project due to delays during construction.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
The project would be delayed and Federal funds would be in jeopardy.
