DECLARE and ACCEPT the results of the General Election conducted on November 4, 2014. Declare Elected and
Appointments in Lieu of Election for the candidates shown on the attached report and on file in the Contra Costa
Elections Division for the General Election on November 4, 2014.
FISCAL IMPACT:
None.
BACKGROUND:
Elections Code 15372 requires the Elections Official to prepare a Certified Statement of Results of the election and
submit it to the Governing Body within 28 days of the election, which is Dec. 2, 2014 for the November 4, 2014
General Election.
A certified Statement of Votes is attached to Board Order.
Elections Code 15400 requires the Governing Body to declare elected to each office the person who was elected.
Elections Code 10515 requires that candidates who filed for an office, that did not exceed the number required to be
elected, be Appointed in Lieu of Election as if elected.
