Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract
#74-433-4 with Michael Levin, M.D., a self-employed individual, in an amount not to exceed $232,960, to provide
professional outpatient psychiatric services including the provision of expert testimony in conservatorship trials, for
the period from January 1, 2015 through December 31, 2015.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This Contract is funded 100% by Mental Health Realignment. (No rate increase)
BACKGROUND:
For a number of years the County has contracted with Medical, Dental and Mental Health Specialists to provide
specialized professional services, which are not otherwise available.
On December 3, 2013, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #74-433-3 with Michael Levin, M.D. for the
provision of professional outpatient psychiatric services, for the period from January 1, 2014 through December 31,
2014.

BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)
will allow the Contractor to continue providing professional outpatient psychiatric services at the Central County
Adult Mental Health Clinic including the provision of expert psychiatric testimony in conservatorship trials, through
December 31, 2015.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If this contract is not approved, County’s clients will not have access to Contractor’s professional outpatient
psychiatric services.
