Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract
#26-785 with Urmila Bajpai-Pillai, M.D, a self-employed individual, in an amount not to exceed $240,000, to provide
professional rheumatology services at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and Health Centers (CCRMC) for the
period from November 1, 2014 through October 31, 2015.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This Contract is funded 100% by Enterprise Fund I.
BACKGROUND:
For a number of years, the County has contracted with Dental, Medical, and Mental Health Specialists to provide
specialized professional services that are not otherwise available at its Hospital and Health Centers.
Under Contract #26-785, the Contractor will provide professional rheumatology services including clinic coverage,
consultation, training and medical and/or surgical procedures at CCRMC, through October 31, 2015.
