HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 12022014 - C.106RECOMMENDATION(S):
Approve and authorize Purchasing Agent on behalf of the Health Services Department to execute a Purchase Order
with CompuCom Systems, Inc. in an amount not to exceed $ $2,850,000 for Microsoft Enterprise Licenses for the
Health Services Department for the period from December 1, 2014 through December 31, 2017.
FISCAL IMPACT:
100% funding is included in the Enterprise I fund budget.
BACKGROUND:
Contra Costa Health Services (CCHS) has been a Microsoft-based organization for several years. This purchase will
enable CCHS to continue to deploy and support the Citrix environment across CCHS, which allows users to connect
to the ccLink electronic health record (EHR). The Enterprise Agreement will also provide for an upgrade of all server
and desktop licenses, including those operating ccLink.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
Not purchasing this software will directly impact patient care by impacting the ccLink servers in addition to not
allowing users to connect to ccLink.
