Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract
Amendment/Extension Agreement #23-538-2 with TEK Systems, Inc., a corporation, effective November 1, 2014, to
amend Contract #23-538-1, to increase the payment limit by $600,000, from $870,000 to a new payment limit of
$1,470,000, and extend the term from December 31, 2014 through June 30, 2016.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This amendment/extension is funded 100% by Enterprise Fund I. (No rate increase)
BACKGROUND:
In May 2013, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #23-538 (as amended by Contract Amendment/Extension
Agreement #23-538-1) with TEK Systems, Inc. for the provision of qualified contract-to-hire and/or direct placement
candidates for hard to fill positions in the Health Services Department’s Information Systems Unit, for the period
from March 1, 2013 through December 31, 2014.

BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)
Contract Amendment Agreement #23-538-2 will allow the Contractor to provide additional contract-to-hire or direct
placement candidates through June 30, 2016.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If this amendment is not approved, the Division will not have access to Contractor’s staffing services for hard to fill
positions in the Department’s Information Systems Unit.
