HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 12022014 - C.78RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Employment and Human Services Director, or designee, to execute a contract amendment with the California State Association of Counties (CSAC) to increase the contract amount by $79,646 from $153,112 to a total contract amount of $232,758 to administer computerized data processing services in the Welfare Departments of the eighteen (18) member county consortium with no change in the term of July 1, 2014 through June 30, 2015. FISCAL IMPACT: $232,758 (including the amendment amount of $79,646): 8% County, 92% State. BACKGROUND: Contra Costa County is one of eighteen (18) counties including, Santa Clara, San Mateo, San Diego, Sonoma, Tulare, Santa Cruz, Fresno, Solano, City and County of San Francisco, San Luis Obispo, Placer, Alameda, Yolo, Orange, Santa Barbara, Sacramento, and Ventura participating in the California State Association of Counties (CSAC) to address the Welfare Client Data System. CSAC will assess and develop long range planning, ongoing development enhancement, and maintenance aspects of all 18 counties in return for compensation from the counties. The total contract amount of $232,112 represents the Contra Costa County proportional share of costs (or 6.8%) including the increase cost of staff for the Welfare Client Data System management.
