Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Agreement
#28-845-2 (VA261-15-P-3420), with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Northern California Health Care
System (VANCHCS), in an amount not to exceed $3,500, for norovirus testing by the Health Services Department’s
Public Health laboratory, for the period from October 1, 2014 through September 30, 2015.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This Grant Agreement will result in VANCHCS paying the County $100 per test, in an amount not to exceed $3,500,
for the Norovirus Testing Project. No County funds required.
BACKGROUND:
On June 4, 2013, the Board of Supervisors approved Grant Agreement #28-845 with the VANCHCS for County to
provide norovirus testing services for VANCHS patients through September 30, 2013.
Approval of Agreement #28-845-2 will allow County to continue providing services, including agreeing to indemnify
and hold harmless grantor for any claims arising out of the performance of this agreement, through September 30,
2015.
