HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 12022014 - C.56RECOMMENDATION(S): ADOPT Position Adjustment Resolution No. 21558 to add one (1) Probation Manager (7AGB) (unrepresented) position at salary plan and grade B25 1899 ($7,087 - $8,614) and cancel one (1) Probation Supervisor (7AHA) (represented) vacant position #11179 at salary plan and grade KU5 1712 ($6,119 - $7,437) in the Probation Department. FISCAL IMPACT: Upon approval, this personnel action will have an annual cost of approximately $28,636 including $16,453 in pension costs. This position adjustment is partially offset by an $8,000 annual cost savings associated with P300 No. 21538. BACKGROUND: As a result of the statewide criminal justice realignment, Probation has closely examined department programming and began to focus on service delivery model that emphasizes evidenced-based practices (EBP). EBP are programs whose effectiveness is supported by scholarly research. As EBP has grown in the department, it has become necessary to create a manager position whose sole purpose is to manage and coordinate EBP department-wide. One focus of this new program will be to focus on program fidelity to ensure our programs continue to be effective for our clients and the larger community.
