ADOPT Position Adjustment Resolution No. 21549 to add three (3) permanent full-time Family Nurse Practitioner
(VWSB) positions at salary level L35-1873 ($8,393 - $10,202) in the Health Services Department. (Represented)
FISCAL IMPACT:
Upon approval, this action has an annual cost of approximately $579,337.41 with $130,392.57 in pension costs
already included. The entire cost is 100% offset by Federally Qualified Health Care and Affordable Care Act
revenues.
BACKGROUND:
The Health Services Department is requesting to add three (3) permanent full-time Family Nurse Practitioner
positions assigned to outpatient pre-natal and gynecology clinics within Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and
Health Centers. Under medical direction and consultation, duties include providing uncomplicated prenatal care and
post-partum follow-up for mother and child, making gynecological diagnoses and providing treatment for conditions
by specific protocols. Upon approval, this action has an annual cost of approximately $579,337.41 with $130,392.57
in pension costs already included. The entire cost is 100% offset by Federally Qualified Health Care and Affordable
Care Act revenues.
