DECLARE vacant the District IV – Alternate Seat on the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District Advisory
Commission and direct the Clerk of the Board to post the vacancy as recommended by Supervisor Mtichoff.

BACKGROUND:
Mr. Dylan Reinhold informed Supervisor Mitchoff of his resignation on October 28, 2014.
The Contra Costa County Fire Protection District Advisory Commission (CCCFPDAC) reviews and advises on
annual operations, capital budgets, and long-range capital improvement plans, as well as reviews district
expenditures. Pursuant to district ordinance, commissioners serve as the Appeals Board on weed abatement matters,
and advise the Fire Chief as well as the Board of Supervisors on district service matters. Additionally, they
communicate with other fire district advisory commissions on services and functional integration.

They assist in the Fire Chief's selection process as required. CCCFPDAC serves as the liaison between the Board of
Supervisors and the community served by each district.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
The District IV Alternate seat on the CCCFPDAC will remain vacant.
