Subject:Contract amendment with Kimley-Horn & Associates, Inc., for the Bailey Road/State Route 4 Interchange Project,
Bay Point area.
BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)
the Board of Supervisors approved Amendment No. 1 to the agreement to provide additional services to prepare a
Preliminary Environmental Analysis Report (PEAR), as required for the project.
The Public Works Department has been coordinating the Project with the California Department of Transportation
(Caltrans) to evaluate alternatives for the Project. Based on information from Caltrans, the preferred alternative
selected does not require a PID and a Permit Evaluation Engineering Report (PEER) should be prepared for the
Project.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
Development of the Bailey Road/State Route 4 Interchange project could be delayed, ultimately delaying
improvements.
CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT:
Not applicable.
