Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract
Amendment/Extension Agreement #26-483-5 with Medicomp, Inc., a corporation, effective November 30 2014, to
amend Contract #26-483-3 (as amended by Contract Amendment Agreement 26-483-4), to increase the payment
limit by $50,000, from $200,000 to a new payment limit of $250,000, and extend the term from November 30, 2014
through February 28, 2015.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This Amendment/Extension is funded 100% by Enterprise Funds I. (No rate increase)
BACKGROUND:
On January 8, 2013, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #26-483-3 (as amended by Contract Amendment
Agreement #26-483-4) with Medicomp, Inc. for the provision of monitoring services, including devices,
pre-packaged kits, computerized storage, analysis and interpretation for medical review of 24 hour and 30 day
ambulatory cardiac monitoring, for the period from December 1, 2012 through November 30, 2014. This contract
included changes in the County’s Standard

BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)
General Conditions, paragraph 13 (Subcontract and Assignment) and paragraph 19 (Insurance).
Approval of Contract Amendment/Extension Agreement #26-483-5 will allow the Contractor to continue providing
services through February 28, 2015.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If this amendment is not approved, County will not receive services from this Contractor and patients will experience
longer delays in service.
