BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)
are away. Medicus has been utilized more than expected this year due to an increase in vacancies in the emergency
department during the contract year. Towards the end of the contract, it appeared that there would be enough funds in
the contract to cover the last two months of services. However, once the final billings were received, the contract cap
was exceeded. Therefore, based on the analysis above, it is recommended that the contract cap be increased by
$10,000 from $275,000 to $285,000, which will cover the costs of services provided through the end of the contract
term.
Approval of Contract Amendment Agreement #26-701-10 will allow the Contractor to be paid for additional
temporary emergency room physician services at CCRMC provided in good faith through July 31, 2014.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If this amendment is not approved, the Contractor will not be paid for services rendered in good faith at CCRMC.
CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT:
Not applicable.
