APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Public Works Director, or designee, to execute a contract amendment with Gigi
Walker d/b/a Walker's Auto Body, to increase the payment limit by $100,000 to a new payment limit of $300,000 for
automotive body damage repair services, paint and related mechanical repair work, with no change to the original
term of June 1, 2012 through May 30, 2015, Countywide.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The cost is to be funded through the Fleet Internal Service Fund budget.
BACKGROUND:
Fleet Services is responsible for contracting Sheriff automotive body damage, paint and related mechanical repair
work. Recently, the Sheriff's Department experienced an unusual increase in the amount of collisions and damage.
This increased their repair schedule substantially which depleted all funds available on this contract with eight (8)
months remaining in the term. Therefore, Fleet Services is requesting the dollar amount of this contract be amended.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If this contract amendment is not approved, automotive body damage repair services, paint and related mechanical
