HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 11042014 - C.02RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE the Right of Way Contract-Temporary Construction Easement from East Bay Regional Park District, over a portion of Assessor’s Parcel No. 015-180-009 along Orwood Road, effective October 1, 2014 thru April 30, 2017. (Project No. 0662-6R4076 and Federal Project No.: BRLO 5928 (045)) AUTHORIZE the Public Works Director, or designee, to execute the said Right of Way Contract- Temporary Construction Easement (TCE) on behalf of Contra Costa County (County). AUTHORIZE the Auditor-Controller to issue a check in the sum of $8,650 for said property rights, including staff time and administrative fees, payable to East Bay Regional Park District (EBRPD), to be forwarded to the Real Estate Division of the Public Works Department for delivery. FISCAL IMPACT: 100% Federal Highway Bridge Replacement Funds. Bueren, Public Works Director/Chief Engineer Date:November 4, 2014 Contra Costa County Subject:Orwood Road Bridge Replacement Project, Brentwood area. BACKGROUND: The Public Works Department is planning to replace the Orwood Road Bridge located in the Brentwood area. The TCE is necessary for the purpose of a construction yard and for machinery and vehicle maneuvering during the construction phase of the Orwood Road Bridge Replacement project. As a condition of the TCE, EBRPD has requested that the County indemnify them during the use of their property. On October 7, 2014, the EBRPD Board of Directors approved Resolution 2014-10-247, granting the TCE to the County. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: Without approval from the Board of Supervisors, the project would not be able to move forward. CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT: Not applicable.
