HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 10282014 - C.25RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Grant Award Agreement #28-866 from the City of Concord, a government agency, to pay the County an amount not to exceed $48,193, for the Concord Bicycle and Pedestrian Safe Routes to Transit Project, for the period from August 6, 2014 through February 28, 2017. FISCAL IMPACT: Approval of this Grant Award Agreement will result in an amount not to exceed $48,193 from the City of Concord for the Public Health Department’s Concord Bicycle and Pedestrian Safe Routes to Transit Project. No County funds required. BACKGROUND: The goal of this Project is to create a comprehensive Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan for the City of Concord including, but not limited to, providing community engagement, outreach and education; data collection and analysis; project planning; preparation including mapping; and plan coordination and administration to identify solutions to safe access to transit. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this Agreement is not approved, the County’s Public Health Division will not receive funding to support its the Concord Bicycle and Pedestrian Safe Routes to Transit Project.
