Clinical Nurse Specialist (VWTA) position #9140 at salary level L35-1873 ($8,393 - $10,202) in the Health Services
Department. (Represented)
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no fiscal impact for this action.
BACKGROUND:
The Health Services Department is requesting to add the Health Education and Training Specialist position at Contra
Costa Regional Medical Center and its Health Centers in order to determine the educational needs of health care staff
and for the development and implementation of training programs focused on improving the delivery of health care.
The vacant Clinical Nurse Specialist position has been vacant since the retirement of the previous incumbent in
March 2013. The Department has determined that the new Health Education and Training Specialist position will
better meet its needs. There is no fiscal impact for this action as the two classifications are equivalent in
compensation.
