HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 10282014 - C.06RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Chair, Board of Supervisors, or designee, to execute a Utility Relocation Agreement with Contra Costa Water District for the Marsh Creek Safety Improvements Project (Project), as recommended by the Public Works Director, Brentwood area. Project No. 0662-6R4025 FISCAL IMPACT: The estimated cost for the work associated with this agreement is $287,000. All costs associated with this work will be paid for by CCWD. BACKGROUND: The Project proposes to realign the horizontal and vertical alignment of a portion of Marsh Creek Road. In order to construct the Project, existing Contra Costa Water District (District) facilities need to be relocated and protected. This requires installation of a temporary waterline and appurtenant valves and air vents within the Project’s temporary detour road and permanent replacement of District facilities within Contra Costa County’s road right of way. The purpose of this agreement is to provide for the apportionment of duties and costs between Contra Costa County (County) and the District. Execution of this Utility Relocation Agreement will allow the design and construction of this project to proceed.
