HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 10212014 - C.50RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Agreement #28-320-6 with Alameda County in an amount not to exceed $98,000 for the County to provide HIV Viral Load Testing and HIV Genotype Testing services, for the period form April 1, 2014 through March 31, 2015. FISCAL IMPACT: The County will perform HIV testing services for Alameda County on a fee for services basis. No County funds are required. BACKGROUND: This agreement is for the Contra Costa Public Health Laboratory to provide HIV Viral Load testing on a fee for services basis. The Contra Costa Public Health Laboratory is one of the only laboratories that provide these services. The testing will be provided by existing staff and will bring revenue into the Department. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this contract is not approved, the County will not preform HIV Viral Load testing for Alameda County. CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT: Not Applicable
