HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 10212014 - C.49RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Employment and Human Services Director, or designee, to execute a contract amendment with the California Department of Aging to increase the payment to County by $239,326 a new payment limit of $4,019,916, to include the One-Time-Only funding for Older Americans Act program services for the period July 1, 2014 through June 30, 2015. (100% Federal) (No County match) FISCAL IMPACT: County to receive $4,019,916 from the California Department of Aging, Older Americans Act funding 100% Federal, including the amended One-Time-Only funding in the amount of $179,029 and Special Nutrition funding in the amount of $60,297. No County match. The amendment allocations include One-Time-Only federal finds (reallocated carryover from FY 2013-14) to enhance current services and new supplemental funding for Special Nutrition funding. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: Without increased funding, the Department's Aging and Adult Services Bureau could not enhance Older Americans Act services.
