HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 10072014 - C.89RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract Amendment Agreement #24-723-73 with Neighborhood House of North Richmond, a non-profit corporation, effective June 1, 2014, to amend Novation Contract #24-723-71 (as amended by Contract Amendment Agreement #24-723-72), to increase the payment limit by $20,465, from $548,312 to a new payment limit of $568,777, with no change in the original term of July 1, 2013 through June 30, 2014 and no change in the automatic extension payment of $198,130, through December 31, 2014. FISCAL IMPACT: This amendment is funded 53% by Federal Substance Abuse Prevention and Treatment (SAPT) Block Grant, 30% Bay Area Service Network, 9% Second Chance Act, and 8% Substance Abuse and Mental Health Service Administration (SAMHSA) Forensic Grant. On December 10, 2013, the Board of Supervisors approved Novation Contract #24-723-71 (as amended by Contract Amendment Agreement #24-723-72) with Neighborhood House of North Richmond for the provision of substance abuse residential treatment and detoxification services, for the period from July 1, 2013 through June 30, 2014, which included a six-month automatic extension through December 31, 2014. Approval of Contract Amendment Agreement #24-723-73 will allow the Contractor to provide additional substance abuse residential treatment services due to increased demand for clients referred through the AB 109 program in West County through June 30, 2014. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this amendment is not approved, offenders will not have access to Contractors residential treatment services mandated by AB 109.
