HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 10072014 - C.86RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract Amendment Agreement #24-837-22 with Daniel May, M.D., a self-employed individual, effective October 1, 2014, to amend Contract #24-837-21, to increase the payment limit by $35,840, from $174,720 to a new payment limit of $210,560, with no change in the original term of May 1, 2014 through April 30, 2015. FISCAL IMPACT: This amendment is funded 100% by Mental Health Realignment. (No rate increase) BACKGROUND: For a number of years the County has contracted with Medical, Dental and Mental Health Specialists to provide specialized professional services, which are not otherwise available. Approval of Contract Amendment Agreement #24-837-22 will allow the Contractor to provide an additional day of psychiatric services, per week, to adults in West County through April 30, 2015. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this amendment is not approved, County’s clients will not have access to Contractor’s professional outpatient psychiatric services resulting in a decrease in services to the community.
