Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract
#26-704-4 with Mt. Diablo Rheumatology Consultants, Inc., a corporation, in an amount not to exceed $735,000, to
provide professional rheumatology services at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and Contra Costa Health
Centers (CCRMC) for the period from September 1, 2014 through August 31, 2017.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This Contract is funded 100% by Enterprise Fund I. (No rate increase)
BACKGROUND:
On September 17, 2013, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #26-704-2, (as amended by Amendment
Agreement #26-704-3) with Mt. Diablo Rheumatology Consultants, Inc. for the provision of professional
rheumatology services at CCRMC including clinic session, consultation, training and/or medical and surgical
procedures for the period from September 1, 2013 through August 31, 2014. Approval of Contract #26-704-4 will
allow Contractor to continue providing rheumatology services through August 31, 2017.
