Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract
Amendment Agreement #26–323–23 with CareerStaff Unlimited, Inc., a corporation, effective August 6, 2014, to
amend Contract #26–323–21 (as amended by #26-323-22), to increase the Contract payment limit by $36,000, from
$220,000 to a new total of $256,000, with no change in the original term of January 1, 2013 through December 31,
2014.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This amendment is funded 100% by Enterprise Fund I. (No rate increase)
BACKGROUND:
In March 2013, the County Administrator approved and the Purchasing Services Manager executed Contract
#26-323-21 (as amended by Amendment Agreement #26-323-22) with CareerStaff Unlimited, Inc. for the provision
of temporary Occupational, Physical and Speech Therapists, Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians, Medical Social
Workers, Ultrasound Technologists and other ancillary classifications, to cover specified peak loads,

BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)
temporary absences, or emergency situations at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and Contra Costa Health
Centers (CCRMC), for the period from January 1, 2013 through December 31, 2014.
Approval of Contract Amendment Agreement #26-323-23 will allow the Contractor to provide additional hours of
temporary services as needed, through December 31, 2014.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If this amendment is not approved, the Contractor will not be paid or be able to continue providing emergency
temporary staffing at CCRMC, through December 31, 2014.
