HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 10072014 - C.54RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Interagency Agreement #28–832-2 with Antioch Unified School District (AUSD), a government agency, to provide school-based mobile clinic services, for the period from August 15, 2014 through August 14, 2017. FISCAL IMPACT: This is a non-financial agreement. BACKGROUND: This Contract meets the social needs of County’s population by providing mobile clinic services, including but not limited to: comprehensive physical exams, immunizations, tuberculin skin testing, sports physicals, reproductive health services and referrals, and well-child care to low-income and disadvantaged school children at throughout AUSD District. Approval of Interagency Agreement #28–832-2, will allow County to continue to provide school-based mobile clinic services to children within the AUSD, through August 14, 2017. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this Agreement is not approved, low-income and disadvantaged school aged children in Antioch will not receive preventive health screenings, well-child examinations, and primary health care services from County’s mobile clinics. CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT: This program supports the following Board of Supervisors’ community outcomes: “Children Ready For and Succeeding in School” and “Communities that are Safe and Provide a High Quality of Life for Children and Families”. Expected program outcomes include an increase in the number of healthy children within the District.
