This past year, we completed the annual outreach to schools, worked with the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District on rescue operation access improvements and additional rescue equipment, and worked with Mt. Diablo High School Digital Safari Academy on student videos. Over the next year, we will be distributing the student videos, working on the parent video, and developing interpretive panels. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this Resolution is not adopted, members of the public may not receive important information about creek and channel safety. CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT: The FC District will continue to work with the schools and youth-based groups within the County to educate children about safety regarding creeks and flood control channels.
