HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 09232014 - C.69RECOMMENDATION(S): RATIFY the County Administrator's, or designee's, execution of a service contract with Prepare My Sheep in an amount not to exceed $117,300 to provide specialized employment training for the AB 109 Public Safety Realignment Program for the period July 1, 2014 through June 30, 2015. FISCAL IMPACT: This contract has a cost of $117,300, which is funded 100% with AB 109 Public Safety Realignment revenues. BACKGROUND: At its May 13, 2014 meeting, the Board of Supervisors, approved the recommendations of the Public Protection Committee, the Community Corrections Partnership (CCP), and the Evaluation Panels with regard to contract awards from the Requests for Qualifications (RFQs) issued for the implementation of the Plans for the establishment of a West County Reentry Resource Center and an East & Central County Networked System of Services. At the same meeting, the Board also authorized the issuance of contracts to recommended contractors, subject to contract development by the County Administrator's Office and approval as to form of contract by County Counsel. At its May 13, 2014 meeting, the Board of Supervisors authorized the issuance of a $65,000 contract with Prepare My Sheep for specialized employment training services. Prepare My Sheep will be providing dent repair and automotive repair training services to 12 AB 109 participants. Additional funds were required for equipment and tool purchases to provide the services. Today's action ratifies the FY 2014-15 contract with Prepare My Sheep in an amount not to exceed $117,300 for the period July 1, 2014 through June 30, 2015. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: Not Applicable. CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT: Not Applicable.
