Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute on, behalf of the County, Contract
#26-911-24 with Thomas B. Hargrave, M.D., a self-employed individual, in an amount not to exceed $342,000, for
the provision of professional gastroenterology services for patients at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and
Contra Costa Health Centers, for the period from September 1, 2014 through August 31, 2017.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This Contract is funded 100% by Enterprise Fund I. Cost to the County depends upon utilization. As appropriate,
patients and/or third party payors will be billed for services. No rate increase.
BACKGROUND:
On September 13, 2011, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #26-911-23 with Thomas B. Hargrave, M.D., to
provide gastroenterology services including consultation, training, on-call coverage services and medical procedures
at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and Contra Costa Health Centers, for the period from September 1, 2011
through August 31, 2014.
Approval of Contract #26-911-24 will allow

Health Centers would go untreated.
