HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 09232014 - C.30RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Public Works Director, or designee, to execute the Lease with Country Hills Antioch Medical Center, LLC, for a twenty-year term with annual rent payments of $741,312, for approximately 23,400 square feet of a medical and mental health clinic with office space located at 2335 Country Hills Drive, Antioch, under the terms and conditions set forth in the lease that includes a purchase option by the County for the property at $13,489,714. (WLP750) FISCAL IMPACT: 100% Third Party Revenue/Federal Qualified Health Center funds. BACKGROUND: Since 1992, the Health Services Department has occupied 15,156 square feet under multiple leases at 3501 and 3505 Lone Tree Way in Antioch for both a medical and mental health clinic. The current facility is in poor condition and insufficient. The new facility at 2335 Country Hills Drive is required to accommodate existing demand for medical services, which has increased since 1992, and which will increase further as a result of recent legislation. The new facility will significantly expand the capacity while providing medical services in a more cost-effective manner, and in conformance to current standards of medical care.
