Approve and authorize Purchasing Agent on behalf of the Health Services Department, to execute, a Purchase Order
with CDW Direct, LLC, in an amount not to exceed $300,000 for scanners, printers, mobile devices, and minor
hardware equipment, for the period from July 1, 2014 through June 30, 2015.
FISCAL IMPACT:
100% funding is included in the Enterprise Fund I budget.
BACKGROUND:
These scanners, printers and mobile devices and other minor hardware equipment are essential for scanning
documents into the ccLink electronic health record (EHR) for a multitude of departments, including the Contra Costa
Regional Medical Center and Health Centers, Contra Costa Contra Costa Health Plan, Public Health, Mental Health,
and Health Services Administration.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
Failure to replace scanners, printers, mobile devices and minor hardware will increase the risk of an unexpected
failure. This could impact productivity at some locations including patient care at the hospital, health center locations,
and other key departments.
