HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 09162014 - C.40RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Purchasing Agent on behalf of the Health Services Department, to execute a change order to Purchase Order F51410 with Nexus Inc. to increase the amount payable by $350,000 to a new amount not to exceed $482,000 and extend the term from May 3, 2014 through May 2, 2016 for annual maintenance support of data storage and backup systems for the Electronic Health Record (EHR) System. FISCAL IMPACT: 100% funding is included in the Enterprise I Fund budget. BACKGROUND: Contra Costa Health Services uses the EMC storage and Avamar data backup systems for the ccLink electronic health record (EHR). This Purchase Order is for continued maintenance and support of both systems. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: In the event of a failure of either the EMC storage or Avamar data backup systems, Health Services would have no ability to repair the systems, impacting patient care throughout the Department.
