HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 09162014 - C.39RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Purchasing Agent, on behalf of the Health Services Director, to execute a Purchase Order with Craneware in an amount not to exceed $195,000 for software licensing and maintenance, for the period from August 15, 2014 through August 14, 2019. FISCAL IMPACT: 100% Funding is included in the Enterprise Fund I Budget. BACKGROUND: The Craneware Chargemaster Reference Toolkit provides the Patient Accounting department with up-to-date clinical, financial, and regulatory coding data and provides accurate coding, charge capture, and automated revenue integrity for patient care services and supplies. It optimizes reimbursement, increases operational efficiency and minimizes compliance risk for Health Services. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: Not renewing the software licensing and support will directly affect regulatory compliance and coding accuracy for our Patient Accounting department.
