HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 09162014 - C.37RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Purchasing Agent, on behalf of the Health Services Department, to execute a Purchase Order with GE Healthcare, Inc. in an amount not to exceed $190,000 for the purchase of seven GE Infant Warmers for Contra Costa Regional Medical Center (CCRMC). FISCAL IMPACT: 100% budgeted in Enterprise Fund I. BACKGROUND: CCRMC’s Labor and Delivery Department has twelve remaining GE Healthcare, Inc. Airshield IICS Infant Warmers. They are nearly 20 years old and no longer meet the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) recommendations, nor do they meet community guidelines recommending T-piece resuscitation. The new GE Healthcare, Inc. Infant Warmers will replace similar units with which the staff is familiar and accustomed to using, thus reducing the learning curve with the new devices. This will ensure optimum patient care.
