HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 09162014 - C.34RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Purchasing Agent on behalf of the Health Services Department, to execute a change order to Purchase Order F48885 with R-Computer, LLC., to increase the amount payable by $379,000 to a new amount not to exceed $739,000 for purchase of the Hewlett Packard personal computer systems and related computer hardware accessories, with no change in original term of September 25, 2013 through September 24, 2015. FISCAL IMPACT: 100% Funding is included in the Enterprise Fund I Budget. BACKGROUND: Health Services Information Technology supports approximately 4,500 computer systems throughout Contra Costa Health Services. This funding provides for the replacement of approximately 400 out dated computer systems. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this Purchase Order is not approved, the Department will have many computers that are outdated; no longer supported by Microsoft, posing network security vulnerability; and not able to run the newer applications supporting the ccLink electronic health record (EHR).
