APPOINT Lisa Motoyama to the City 2 seat on the Affordable Housing Finance Committee to complete the
unexpired term ending June 30, 2015, as recommended by the cities in West County.
FISCAL IMPACT:
No General Fund impact.
BACKGROUND:
The Affordable Housing Finance Committee (AHFC) advises the Board of Supervisors on the allocation of
approximately $3 million in HOME Investment Partnerships Act, and Community Development Block Grant funds
for affordable housing development in Contra Costa County. The Committee consists of nine members, including
three Community Representatives, three County Representatives, and three City Representatives. The three City
Representatives are nominated by the cities in each subregion of the County. All AHFC members are appointed by
the Board of Supervisors to serve staggered three year terms.
Applicants for the City Representative positions are endorsed by the appropriate cities and forwarded to the Board of
Supervisors for approval.
Lisa Motoyama, a resident of El Cerrito, is an extremely well qualified applicant with experience both in not for
profit and government affordable housing finance.
