Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract
#22-852-13 with Greater Richmond Inter-Faith Program, a non-profit corporation, in an amount not to exceed
$337,388, to provide consultation and technical assistance to the Health Services Department’s Clinic Services and
AIDS Programs for the period from September 1, 2014 through August 31, 2015.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This Contract is funded 56% by Federal Qualified Health Care Center funds; 15% Targeted Case Management; 25%
AIDS Program and 4% Public Health Administration funds. (No rate increase)
BACKGROUND:
This Contract meets the social needs of County’s population by providing direct consultation, technical assistance
and implementation of health education activities

BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)
at various high schools and by providing technical assistance to County’s AIDS program regarding funder mandated
case management requirements.
On September 10, 2013, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #22-852-12 with Greater Richmond Inter-Faith
Program, for the period from September 1, 2013 through August 31, 2014 for the provision of consultation and
technical assistance to the Health Services Department’s Clinic Services to School-based Health Centers Program.
Approval of Contract #22-852-13 will allow Contractor to continue providing services, including consultation and
technical assistance to the AIDS Program, through August 31, 2015.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If this contract is not approved, the direct consultation and technical assistance provided by Contractor to County’s
Clinic Services and AIDS Programs regarding coordination of health education activities will terminate.
CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT:
This program supports the following Board of Supervisors’ community outcomes: “Children Ready For and
Succeeding in School”; “Families that are Safe, Stable, and Nurturing”; and “Communities that are Safe and Provide
a High Quality of Life for Children and Families”. Expected program outcomes include a decrease in the number of
teenage pregnancies in Contra Costa County.
