HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 09092014 - C.126RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Purchasing Agent, on behalf of Health Services Department, to execute a Change Order to Purchase Order #47594 with Coffey Communications to add $105,000 for a new total of $235,000, for continuation of printed Contra Costa Health Plan (CCHP) members “Health Sense” newsletter, for the period from July 1, 2013, through June 30, 2015. FISCAL IMPACT: Total cost of $235,000 is budgeted in Enterprise II. (No rate increase) BACKGROUND: CCHP is required by various contracts to distribute critical health information to its members. CCHP uses this newsletter to update members on resources, health education classes, preventative health guidelines, flu clinics, schedules, and/or any other important information. CCHP’s utilization of Coffey Communications has been steadily increasing on quarterly basis due to membership enrollment increase. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this Purchase Order is not approved, CCHP will not be able to print and mail the quarterly Health Sense newsletter to CCHP members.
