HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 09092014 - C.88RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract Amendment Agreement #26-752-1 with Denis Mahar, M.D., a self-employed individual, effective August 1, 2014, to amend Contract #26-752, to increase the payment limit by $124,000 from $1,728,000 to a new payment limit of $1,852,000, with no change in the original term of October 1, 2013 through September 30, 2016. FISCAL IMPACT: This amendment is funded 100% by Enterprise Fund I. (No rate increase) BACKGROUND: On September 24, 2013, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #26-752 with Denis Mahar, M.D., for the period from October 1, 2013 through September 30, 2016, for the provision of professional cardiology services including clinic coverage, consultation and on-call services and cardiology management services. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this amendment is not approved, patients requiring professional cardiology services at CCRMC will not have access to Contractor’s services, which may result in a reduction in the overall levels of service to the community.
