HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 09092014 - C.84RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Purchasing Agent, on behalf of the Employment & Human Services Director, to establish a Blanket Purchase Order with One Solution Technology in the amount of $371,155 for the period July 1, 2014 through June 30, 2015 for a management information system. FISCAL IMPACT: 81% County Venture Capital Project funding 9.5% Federal / Administration for Children and Families (CFDA # 93.600) 9.5% State / California Department of Education BACKGROUND: The Department identified this company via brand procurement as Sole Source. The company will develop and install a CLOUDS RFID (Child Location Observation Utilization Data System - Radio Frequency Identification) management information system designed to provide increased safety for children enrolled in Community Services Bureau childcare programs. The system will also enhance staff productivity in childcare centers. The RFID system monitors children location in the centers and immediately send a system alert via CLOUDS when a child is in an unsafe location. The system will also enhance the management of administrative tasks such as attendance reporting, meal counts, and staff management.
