Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Interagency
Agreement #28-760-8 with West Contra Costa Unified School District (WCCUSD), to pay County in an amount not
to exceed $60,000, for the WCCUSD School Health and Support Services Coordinator Project, for the period from
August 1, 2014 through June 30, 2015.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Approval of this Interagency Agreement will result in a total payment to the County not to exceed $60,000 of funding
for the WCCUSD School Health and Support Services Coordinator project. No County match required.
BACKGROUND:
The goal of the WCCUSD School Health and Support Services Coordinator Project is to establish systems to insure
the effective delivery of health and mental health services at Richmond High School including maintaining a Student
Advisory Board and an Adult Advisory Board, managing infrastructure needs, implementing a comprehensive
referral process facilitating contracting with partner agencies and developing a sustainability plan in collaboration
with the district level

BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)
coordinator. On September 10, 2013, the Board of Supervisors approved Interagency Agreement #28-760-7 with
WCCUSD for its School Health and Support Services Coordinator Project, for the period from August 1, 2013
through June 30, 2014.
Approval of Interagency Agreement #28-760-8 will allow the County to continue to collaborate with the WCCUSD
School Health Coordinator, school administrators, community-based agencies, parents, students and teachers to
provide coordination of health and mental health services and lead the expansion of services offered at Richmond
High School, through June 30, 2015.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If this agreement is not approved, County will not receive funding to continue providing services to school age
children.
