FISCAL IMPACT: It is expected that in FY 14-15, there will be an initial cost savings of $28,806 as it is unlikely that the position will be filled at the top step. (100% - Billed as Charges to Specific Projects) BACKGROUND: In 2012, the General Services and Public Works Departments were merged. On September, 24, 2013, the Board of Supervisors approved salary adjustment for the Capital Projects Division Manager-Exempt (a General Services division head classification) in order to appropriately align with the Supervising Civil Engineer classifications (a Public Works division head classification). At that time, Human Resources also determined that the Capital Projects Division Manager-Exempt classification was no longer appropriate within the post-merger departmental organizational structure and recommended that upon vacancy to abolish the exempt classification APPROVE OTHER RECOMMENDATION OF CNTY ADMINISTRATOR RECOMMENDATION OF BOARD COMMITTEE Action of Board On: 09/09/2014 APPROVED AS RECOMMENDED OTHER Clerks Notes: VOTE OF SUPERVISORS AYE:John Gioia, District I Supervisor Candace Andersen, District II Supervisor Karen Mitchoff, District IV Supervisor Federal D.
