Subject:Cancel Contract Agreement with STAT Nursing Services, Inc.and execute Contract with Cross Country Staffing Inc.
BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)
Nurses, Psychiatric technicians an operating room technicians. The County was recently notified by STAT Nursing
Services, Inc., that it can no longer provide services and will be closing its doors officially on August 16, 2014. In
accordance with Paragraph 5 (Termination) of the Contract's General Conditions, the Department and the Contractor
have agreed to a mutual cancellation of this Contract. Approval of Contract Cancellation Agreement #26-374-18 will
accomplish the termination.
To continue to provide these important services without interruption, Cross Country Staffing, Inc., has agreed to
provide the Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner/Sexual Assault Forensic Examiner (SANE/SAFE) services in lieu of
STAT Nursing Services, Inc. The County currently has contract #26-347-22 with Cross Country Staffing, Inc., that
was approved by the Board on June 3, 2014 to provide temporary medical professional services including nursing,
therapy, radiology and pharmacy services for CCRMC for the period May 1, 2014 through June 30, 2015. The
proposed contract amendment would permit Cross Country Staffing, Inc., to provide the SANE/SAFE services
through the term of their current contract.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If the contract amendment is not approved, patients requiring professional SANE/SAFE nursing services at CCRMC
will not have access to Contractor’s services, which may result in a reduction in the overall levels of service to the
community.

Not applicable.
