HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 08122014 - C.88RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract Amendment Agreement #26-924-16 with Theresa Kailikole, D.P.M., a self-employed individual, effective May 1, 2014, to amend Contract #26-924-15, to increase the payment limit by $2,000, from $290,000 to a new payment limit of $292,000, with no change in the original term of June 1, 2013 through May 31, 2015. FISCAL IMPACT: This amendment is funded 100% by Enterprise Fund I. BACKGROUND: (CONT'D) Costa Regional Medical and Health Centers (CCRMC), for the period from June 1, 2013 through May 31, 2015. At the request of the County, Contractor agreed to an increase in work load during year one of her contract, resulting in an increase in utilization, therefore, the Division has requested an increase in contract payment limit for year one of the two year term. Approval of Contract Amendment Agreement #26-924-16 will allow the Contractor to provide additional hours of professional podiatry services at CCRMC through May 31, 2015. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this amendment is not approved, patients requiring professional podiatry services at CCRMC will not have access to Contractor’s services, which may result in a reduction in the levels of service to the community.
